Even when surrounded by caring family and friends, it’s not always easy to discuss our most personal feelings.
Life can be stressful. Work pressures, family difficulties, divorce, ill-health and bereavement are the experience of many. It may be that you are lucky enough to feel supported through these life-changing events, but others are not so fortunate.
My aim in your counselling session is to help you explore the parts of your life that you find difficult and to discover a way of living that enables you to feel fulfilled and at ease with who you are. Many struggle for years in the pursuit of fulfilment and ease and for these people therapy may be long-term, but for others simply unburdening oneself can begin a process of change which is of itself therapeutic. Short-term therapy may help in this process.
I have a master’s degree in counselling and psychotherapy and many years of experience in working with people for whom, for many different reasons, life has become confusing and troubled.
